Remember Frankie? The dog I adopted in Suva?

Last I heard from Ulli, the lady to whom I gave her, was that she had been diagnosed with heartworm.  I understood that this is untreatable and terminal.  I felt so guilty because in all the time I had her she seemed fit and I never took her to a vet.  Ulli tells me she and Victor have now returned to Germany, but they found a good home for Frankie with another German family in Suva who have a 9 year old daughter.  She is alive and well, and happy.  I am so cheered to hear this I shed a wee tear.

About Uisce úr

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.
