That was a good Christmas!

We had a good time; good food and company and good vibes.

My girls and I had a pleasant low key Christmas day.  Gifts were exchanged, good food prepared and eaten. A small turkey, and my traditional festive stuffing.  We had a guest, and it is good to share.

On Boxing Day, we joined some wantoks at Hikoikoi park in Petone, for a picnic gathering.  I took along some kites, all of which had damaged sticks.  From them I cobbled up my second best delta, and she flew magnificently.  So well in fact that the very changeable wind tore her from my grasp, and took her south, trailing her line and reel.  Last seen high over Pencarrow, flying resolutely towards Scott Base.

I silently gave her a Name, and let her go.

Heading South

Thanks and acknowledgment to Glo for the photo.

About Uisce úr

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.
