Frankie and I have just been for a walk across the road to the sea.  I was a little worried at what I saw, because according to the bulletin yesterday, High tide for today was at 1013 and would be a 1.7m tide. At 7.30 the sea was already coming over the wall, and was clearly much higher than 1.7m.  This led me to believe we may be in for an interesting morning.  However I did a check, and found a reliable tide table, which informed me that High tide is at 7.55. About now.  That’s better.   Below is a photo I have just taken, of the sea broaching the wall outside the house I used  to occupy.

About Uisce úr

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.
