No Surge

The storm seems to be proceeding slowly across Fiji.  That is bad news for the people under it, as it probably means more flooding and landslides as well as wind damage.  Apart from being very windy, things are still quiet enough here in Suva.

I took Frankie for a walk down to the sea to
check it out at high tide, which did not seem to be very threatening.

We moved through the dark like a pair of
shadowy ninjas unnoticed by the officers at the police post.

No one else
was about, which is something I have never seen here before.

After we
returned, I realised we were probably breaking curfew.

About Uisce úr

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.
