Midnight Swim

12.50am  Fiji Daylight Savings Time.

returned from a midnight swim with my trusty spear and u/w torch. As I
expected, the water was still murky and I saw nothing to spear. Not
that I have a clue about what I was looking for. The water was warm and
pleasant, and I had a good time. Even though it is very cloudy, the
moon must be full because it seemed quite light. I did find an enormous net stretched along the beach, at the very edge of low tide.  I paced it out and it must have been around four hundred meters long. There was barely a dozen little fish caught in it.  A nice cool shower, and now to bed,

About Uisce úr

Though I am old with wandering Through hollow lands and hilly lands, I will find out where she has gone, And kiss her lips and take her hands; And walk among long dappled grass, And pluck till time and times are done, The silver apples of the moon, The golden apples of the sun.
